Meeting of the Minds is being hosted by the Oregon Transportation Commission, and the Oregon Business Council under the leadership of Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski.

Governor Kulongoski made transportation a top-of-the agenda priority in his 2008 State of the State address.  Subsequently he has been telling Oregon’s citizens and businesses he will likely advocate for rush-hour tolling and other tough measures to control traffic congestion in his 2009 appeal to the Legislature.  He is also calling for “the largest, most strategic and greenest transportation plan in Oregon history.”

Meeting of the Minds provides a perfect vehicle for Oregon and its neighbors to engage with each other and with experts and peers from around the country and around the world to elevate and accelerate their thinking about transportation in the 21st century.
